Job Title: Controller
 Location: Greater Manchester, NH
Position Type: Full-time, On-site
Compensation: $140,000-$150,000 + bonus
 
Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Controller to join our dynamic service organization in Greater Manchester, NH. As the Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and managing the accounting team to ensure efficient day-to-day operations. You will play a key role in driving financial strategies, ensuring compliance with regulations, and supporting decision-making processes that contribute to the organization's growth and success.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Management & Reporting:
     
    • Oversee all aspects of the organization’s financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and accounting.
  •  
    • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
  •  
    • Review and analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
  •  
  • Team Leadership & Collaboration:
     
    • Lead and mentor the accounting team, providing guidance and support to ensure accurate and timely financial processing.
  •  
    • Collaborate closely with other departments, including operations and senior leadership, to provide financial insights and recommendations for strategic decision-making.
  •  
  • Compliance & Internal Controls:
     
    • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations related to financial practices.
  •  
    • Maintain and enforce internal controls to safeguard the organization’s assets and ensure integrity in financial reporting.
  •  
    • Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits and work to address any findings.
  •  
  • Cash Flow Management & Strategic Planning:
     
    • Monitor and manage cash flow, including accounts payable and receivable.
  •  
    • Support long-term financial planning and provide recommendations for cost-saving strategies and capital investments.
  •  
  • Process Improvement:
     
    • Continuously evaluate and improve financial processes and systems to increase efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness.
  •  
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 
  • CPA is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
