Position Overview:

As a Staff Accountant, you will play a critical role in supporting our accounting operations, ensuring the accuracy of financial records, and helping to maintain compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. You will work closely with senior accountants and other cross-functional teams, providing valuable insights and contributing to the company's financial success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • General Accounting: Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and balance sheet schedules.
  • Month-End Close: Assist with month-end close activities, including reviewing financial statements, posting adjustments, and preparing necessary reports.
  • Accounts Payable & Receivable: Support the management of accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing of invoices, payments, and collections.
  • Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management and external stakeholders.
  • Internal Controls & Compliance: Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and relevant financial regulations.
  • Audit Preparation: Support the preparation for internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and addressing auditor inquiries.
  • Tax Support: Assist in the preparation of tax filings, including sales tax, income tax, and other regulatory requirements as needed.
  • Process Improvement: Collaborate with the team to identify areas for process improvement, making recommendations to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in a corporate or public accounting setting.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced skills, including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and formulas).
  • Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar).
  • Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
