We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Biller to join our team. The Medical Biller will be responsible for accurately and efficiently billing patients and insurance companies for medical services provided by our healthcare facility. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and a thorough understanding of medical billing procedures and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and verify patient information, procedures, and diagnosis codes for accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies, including electronic and paper claims submissions.
- Follow up on unpaid claims and resubmit claims as necessary to ensure timely reimbursement.
- Process payments received from insurance companies and patients, including posting payments to patient accounts and reconciling discrepancies.
- Communicate with insurance companies, patients, and healthcare providers to resolve billing issues and inquiries.
- Review denied claims and appeal claim denials as needed.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of billing regulations, coding guidelines, and insurance policies.
- Assist with the development and implementation of billing policies and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Generate and analyze reports related to billing and accounts receivable performance.
- Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to ensure accurate and timely billing practices.
Compensation: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
